Welcome! My name is J. D. Redmond, I live in cold, pristine Newport, Maine. I'm an (A+, Network+ certified) technical writer, analyst, & consultant. I enjoy taking complicated subjects and putting them in a way easy for everyone to understand.
I write a weekly column as "Dr. Tech" for the Bangor Daily News, and "J. D. Redmond" for the Technorati.com tech blog.

My wife and I teamed up, creating "Red Mondo" a publishing company, and an umbrella for various entreprenurial projects.

In addition, I have just created a new anti-virus awareness project which I am calling VirtualThreatLevel.com regarding all variants of viruses, how to prevent them and protect yourself, and how to eradicate them if your system is infected, along with a few other irons in the fire, like Cyberati.

I am also a dog lover, chess player, World Of Warcraft gamer, a bass guitarist, antique enthusiast, secret goth, and the luckiest husband in the world. I love my job, tech is my life, but the love of my life is my amazing wife, A. D. Redmond.
